Well, John Gault has arrived. There goes the neighborhood. I hope you enjoy that helpless, clueless, feeling, because that is all you have to look forward to, but I don't pity you. I only pity those that must share the oxygen of this planet with you.

tlag,

Respectfully, IMHO, you know very little about these two entities you compare, based on your comparision. I have studied both, and continue to do so, and the basis of comparision is slim to none. What you have compared is not what should be compared when speaking about these faiths.

If you truly want to know what to compare, look at methods of salvation. Then you'll be at the heart of what you should be comparing. You see, the basis of why people have faith is knowing what that faith will mean to them in an afterlife.

Jihad touches on Islamic salvation, but paints a very incomplete picture of Islamic salvation. And I can assure you, being eaten by lions, has nothing to do with the Christian salvation picture. (Succumbing to the will of God has to do with Christianity, but leaves most of the Christian salvation picture out as well.)

Truly compare the two forms of salvation, and then base you conclusion of what should be extinct. At least at that point, you will have a basis for your conclusion to take to God when you leave this earth and meet him.

God Bless,
IGIT
