STOCK #6 ANALYSIS: *** MIR *** (Dave G) -- strong buy --

MIR and its subsidiaries acquire, develop, build, own, and operate power production and delivery facilities and provide a broad range of energy-related services to utilities and industrial companies. For the nine months ended 9/30/01, revenues totalled $24.30 billion, up from $5.36 billion. Net income from continuing operations rose 96% to $533 million. Results reflect the Company's acquisition of Mirant Americas Energy Marketing, partially offset by higher provisions.

Special Event - Very good conference call Friday. Cash flow and cash on hand much better than thought. Management says there is no need to raise add'l money in the quity market in 2002. Guidance was down a little fo 2002 but still a very healthy $1.60-1.70 EPS. PE down from 30+ last summer to 6-7. Enron exposure was very limited and already written off.
