IGIT, I agree with your position and, like you, do not understand why things, such as religion, are accepted as respectable without any investigation of it's basic principles. In today's world, too many things are taken for granted because of the labels that have been assigned to them. Such a technique is a simple way to hood wink the unaware. This is a silly example, but I see it all the time in the super market. A 12 pack of Coca Cola has a sign on it claiming a special price, and the shoppers snap up these 12 packs without looking around, and finding out that 2 6 packs of Coca Cola cost less than 1 12 pack. Are people so pressed for time, that they cannot make a short investigation of the facts laid out before them??
