Where is this woman and man's
compassion? Would you get pregnant knowing that you were
going to abort the baby? What kind of sense does that make?
Is this woman playing games with her own offspring's lives. Is
she hoping against hope that she finally has a "normal child?"

Taking responsibility for your reproductive capabilities is
respectable. Continually aborting babies because they aren't
perfect, or the desired sex one hoped for, or any other number
of excuses that women make due to their refusal or inability to
plan around the lives of their unwanted mistake is not.

The couple with 5 terribly handicapped children were following their religious beliefs.

The same circumstance was probably present when that unfortunate, mentally unbalanced mother recently killed her own children. The father of those children was equally to blame & should be on trial with her. Where was his responsibility? Why did he continue to father children with a woman he knew had mental problems?

You lay the responsibility for abortion at the feet of women "only"--that is unfair & shortsighted.

If it was not for the nurturing & protection of women through the ages, how would the human race have survived?
God gave women the power to reproduce, he therefore evidently trusts them to do what's best in this matter. If he felt men could better protect the human race, he would have given them reproduction capability. There are multitudinous reasons why a female might be emotionally or physically coerced into an abortion and one size DOES NOT fit all circumstances.

Where the far right goes astray in their philosophy is not considering the quality of the life already here on earth--the mother and/or her children. They have no sympathy or compassion for that life at all.

I agree that a fetus that can survive without the mother's host body can indeed be considered an independent life. It is up to the Supreme Court to decide at what point of development that occurs.
