MK, Brokers have much to answer for, but it sounds like this guy did it totally to himself. He took the brokers' advice on one issue out of many, didn't ask his advice about how to manage the trade, and then did a stupid overbet with an online outfit.

I would shudder to think that anyone would bet all their money on my long call recommendation on a certain Houston energy trading co. Of course, if they use Schwab, to heck with them. <VBG>

I still believe that it is not the stock or option picks that break people, but their money management discipline. Most simply have none. And that applies to many pro managers, too.
