The Rand is falling because South Africa is turning into a real dump, full of AIDS, murder, rape and mayhem! They couldn't even get a Globalstar Gateway [GG] turned on. Hmm, sounds like Hobbitland these days. No, I haven't been there for quarter of a century. I don't have to fall off a cliff to know that it'll hurt. I haven't tried persuading a pack of hyenas to play nice either, but I bet I couldn't. But there's no going back and maybe it would have been just as bad with the melanin-deficient in charge as gangsta rap filtered into the cultural melange [I have some sympathy with Osama, Omar and the Amish - tv as a cultural icon isn't a beacon of hope].
