OH well. Unless that Famba guy can profitably trade a margin account then I'm not interested in his theorys. Geniuses like him gave us LTCM. IMO intellectuals should stay out of trading as they are geeks and obviously have no talent for it. Next they will develop a theory that nobody in baseball can maintain a high batting avg. other than by random luck.

That is very interesting - I don't know about a Hurst exponent. Any refs please? My theory is that the markets shift between stationary and random walk behavior all the time. The random walk phases are where turning points occur. That is what my TA system is based on....
