I don't think there is a more pompous or supercilious poster on SI than you.

You state your opinions or interpretations of the postings of others as though they were facts rather than opinions or interpretations, a failing which is nearly universal throughout your posts. I don't ascribe the same opinion or interpretation of the allegations you make about CH's actions to the "facts" you recite. In fact, I don't think that your version of the "history" of this matter is really what happened at all. But that is just my opinion. And I can fully understand also why CH refuses to play your "substantiation or retraction" game too. You are not a reasonable person in my opinion and will beat a dead horse long after it is merely an unrecognizable bloody pulp. And even if presented with a "smoking gun" I am quite confident you would not back off because you consider his behavior to be "dissing" of yourself or your friend.

So, to be perfectly clear, I don't really give a hoot about your opinion concerning my "merely insulting" post. IMO, you are neither reasonable nor are your impressions trustworthy. Your post is just more of your standard "victim" nonsense, IMO. I don't agree with you on your assessment of CH and neither do a great many others. And finally, I don't think your allegations about CH's alleged "behaviors" are legitimate in the least.

The man sues people who send him unsolicited faxes.

Quite true.

They are violating both federal and state law. And they are being a damn nuisance, as any business which owns a fax machine knows perfectly well.

What is interesting is that I pointed out a year or so to a business newsletter, which was bemoaning the cost and inconvenience of unwanted and unsolicited faxes, that they were illegal, and here was how to solve the problem. At first they didn't believe me, but when I provided proof they realized I was right, and thought enough of it to write an article about it, quoting the very forms I developed for my suits.

I'm quite proud that I am doing my part to put an end to a pernicious and illegal activity. That's what lawyers SHOULD do. And if I can make a few dollars off it to boot, so much the better. That's what capitalism is all about.

Doing good and doing well at the same time. A hard combination to beat.

Certainly one fully worthy of a gentleman.
