I'm not sure I buy that, Dan. ALUs are not the same as DSPs. Besides, the achievement here was to run a piece of logic at 10GHz and 1.66V.

No it doesn't.

It will use a local oscillator tuned to something close to the transmission frequency and a mixer which converts this to a much lower frequency. This is then digitised and processed by a DSP which is typically clocked at a few tens of MHz.
