That is correct. Amazon violated SEC disclosure laws in 2000. I suppose they felt there might be more scrutiny after Enron in 2001. They still refuse to answer the question as to how much was pledged in the year 2000.

"When asked in interviews precisely how much in cash or marketable securities the company had pledged as collateral in 2000, Amazon executives declined to comment."
