OT Hey, I almost went to work for a Company in Silicon Valley, up in Daly City a few years back that sounded like it was working on something like that. I recall it was an "implantable" hearing aid. Can't remember the name of the company, but it was up near the Bay Bridge... On the SFO side..... Any relation?? No, I'm in the UK. A lot of pioneering work in this field was done in California at UCSF, Stanford University and the House Ear Institute in LA. (Not forgetting contributions from North Carolina, Austria, France, Germany, The Netherlands, UK and Australia (and many others and in no particular order).) The field is now dominated by a handful of large companies and a few smaller ones. I am now mostly doing other things. John
