Exactly ! LOL! That's why, finally, Jobs, Gates and a few smart folks established the policy of hiring the best and the brightest, knowing one top programmer can program rings around 10 average ones.

I'm still attempting to get that through the thick heads of departments at a large bank. The best software projects have been bootlegged on my staff's spare time, since it takes months to even get authorization. Probably a good, but strange ecology of effort.

That's why Microsoft operating systems in spite of the standardization effect imo causes staggering losses in productivity, since millions are all programming to it in the dark. I'm glad to see IBM go Linux. Their $1b in Linux investment last year paid off in one year.
