I do.

To your first paragraph I agree. But now in hindsight we know that Enron, outside of government matters, engaged in some questionable business practices that are having grave economic consequence. And while, I agree you go to the best and brightest and most expert,... but if it turns out later that your "expert" perhaps also had a hidden agenda, ie stave off bankruptcy, you might wonder if some of that advice the "expert" offered up was skewed because of a hidden circumstance. I think a lot of people would like to have a few more details. Isn't it possible during the creation of a complex solution, ie the energy policy, for a tangled web of self intesest to lie. Some people would like to root it out, but it doesn't mean Cheney did anything wrong, or Bush for that matter. But there were discussions and it might be enlightening to the public benefit.
