This is Big for QCOM. Truckerss B2B offers Omnitracks. 10,000 fleets representing 350,000 trucks
are covered. As I recall, this is a system that allows independent owner/operators and small fleets of independants to pick up backhaul truck loads rather than to have to dead head on the return. Needless to say, with truck
load freight running well over $1.00/mile, savings from picking up backhaul loads on a timely basis makes the cost of purchasing a $1,900 Omnitrack seem like a mere drop in the bucket. Much better than calling in by phone as
Truck load locations, pick up dates, req'd delivery dates, etc can be efficiently communicated, displayed and accepted.

TruckersB2B Launches Offering With QUALCOMM, Reaches Membership

Milestone of 10,000 Fleets

Business Editors

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 4, 2002--Celadon Group's (Nasdaq: CLDN) TruckersB2B, Inc. today announced that it has entered into an agreement with QUALCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM). The company also announced that its business-to-business membership program has now surpassed the 10,000-fleet milestone with these fleets representing over 325,000 trucks. In addition, TruckersB2B has achieved 10 consecutive months of profitability.

The QUALCOMM agreement allows TruckersB2B to offer the satellite-based OmniTRACS(R) mobile communications system, including messaging, to its member fleets with a minimal up-front cash investment. TruckersB2B members will be able to install the OmniTRACS system units with enhanced messaging services for less than $99 a month, per truck, upon approved credit. The companies will also offer a plan for less than $80 per month, per truck that includes the OmniTRACS base messaging plan.

QUALCOMM's OmniTRACS system provides two-way data messaging, automatic satellite vehicle tracking, and complete integration capabilities to dispatch and back-office systems. The system operates across NAFTA borders and communicates with QTRACS host software, which manages messaging and displays current and historical vehicle location.

The price reduction for TruckersB2B customers using the OmniTRACS system precludes use of any other promotions or discounts and applies to a standard OmniTRACS system configuration with standard display unit.

Hi idler, could you try a little trick on your K 2255?

After you make the data call from your laptop, push the end button on your phone. What you should expect is that the dialup symbol should still be there since the data call will be in dormant mode now, yet you still have the PPP connection. Then you try a ping, the phone will be backing up from the dormant mode and reconnect into active mode with data going through.

Try it, I wanna make sure that dormancy is indded working there.
