Alighieri, Why do gun control advocates always think more rules for law abiding citizens will have any effect on gun crime? I get checked out everytime I buy a gun. I submitted copies of my finger prints to the FBI and local police, what more can I do? Cooling off periods: After my first gun purchase, why do I need a cooling off period? Licenses: I have one. Background checks: Done everytime a gun is sold. Smart safeties: Don't work and are expensive. Crooks buy very few guns in stores (if any), read the ATF report on crime guns.
