it is not surprising to see Idei trash-talk the yen. after all, he benefits from it. Sony, Toyota, Honda, all love the weak yen. just check out the YoY sales of the Big3 auto makers in the US contrasted to their Japanese competitors (whose cars, admittedly, are much better). the contrast with strong-dollar American leaders (who must keep up the talk, as they are so dependent on foreign investors to keep our bubble going, even though it destroys our manufacturing base) is extreme, and shows the true interests of each party. i don't like to see the yen get much weaker than this as i have yen assets, but i would treat an extreme devaluation as a buying opportunity and may buy more property and assets there. i believe their bear market is much closer to an end than ours.
