Definitely Madden said run out the clock, take a knee, go for overtime. If they did the Rams would have won, they had regained the momentum. That's why he is in the Booth, not on the field.

OT Maui, it was Madden who suggested that the Patriots should settle for overtime. Of course, he was proved wrong, just like every other sportscaster was proved wrong in their predictions.
