Ah, the thrill of the hunt. After many false starts, I was finally able to download "Masterpiece". You're right - an excellent tune. I've been working on a country compilation for my daughter's teachers - she gives personalized CD's to them as end of the year gifts. Carolyn Dawn Johnson will fit in very nicely with Nanci Griffith, Emmylou Harris, Pat Alger, early Gordon Lightfoot, and a few others I haven't decided on. I also agree with your opinion of Ian & Sylvia. They were great, but I never cared too much for their Great Speckled Bird album (which I just learned was produced by Todd Rudgren). It's pretty remarkable how many great country/folk artists have come out of Canada over the past few decades.
