yeah I know, i2 mkt cap about 3bb. Siebel 16bb and psft 10bb though.

Siebel has acquired expensive companies before... remember scopus? I think that was it... it was the first crm company they picked up and it wasn't cheap, considering how much siebel was worth at the time.

Psft once bought a cheap supply chain player (red pepper) and it was a disaster. Sometimes these little guys are more trouble than they're worth. And besides, both psft and sebl need the expertise of the staff which doesn't exist in-house.

Companies acquired other companies in the billions routinely in the bubble... now - I have no idea.
