I think that the CNBC'rs know that their raison d'etre is us little guys. And since the bulk of us little guys don't play the darkside, they have to play to the bull sentiment, either as the pump or as co-sympathizers or even defenders (which is what they seem to be playing right now).

I would be that the CNBC commentators have not taken the same hit in the market that the bulk of the retail investors did. I think that they are more concerned with their paychecks. Maybe the end of the bear will be the day that CNBC cannot get anymore ad revenue because their viewers have all found something better to do than watch the market.
