Jerry said no such thing. He stated Intel would not open any more of a Mhz Gap, but Performance wise AMD would still be superior and once Hammer is released AMD would SMOKE Intel.

What makes you think he was referring to performance and not clock? Wasn't the later what was asked? If he was talking about clock, I would agree with him. If the clock of the Tbred and derivatives is behind by less than 533MHz, which he definitly claimed, the performance of the AXPs over the P4s will exceed that ratio today since, 7/8ths is higher than 3/4ths even though the difference is still one between denominator and numerator. And any IPC improvements will further boost the performance ratios beyond what the the clock ratios say.
