MMS or bust!

Those news about the end of the 2G boom says a simple thing: IT is MMS or bust this year. Please bear in mind that 40% of all sales os terminals are conducted during the seanoisn that starts at Thanksgiving and XMAS.

We have to add that developing countreis are not taking the slack left by Europe.

Mobile sales decreased across Europe 09:16 Monday February 4, 2002, Financial Times
Western European sales of mobile phones during the Christmas shopping time decreases sharply compared to previous years confirming industry fears of a marked slowdown in sales. Just 4.6 million new customers bought mobile phones in December across Europe, compared to 11.9 million in the same month the previous year and 12.5 million in December 1999, according to figures compiled by the journal Mobile Communications to be released this week. The total subscriber base on January 1 accounted for 288.8 million customers, an increase of 45.3 million over the year but a very less growth compared to the record annual growth of 89.8 million new subscribers in 2000. The market penetration across western Europe currently is 74.3%.
