I don't follow CSCO closely, but they wrote off all that inventory and lied about bringing it back on their books to dress up their income, and they grew by acquisition for a long time which means they could have been using "special charges" more aggressively than most companies -- but I don't see the offshore monkey business. You know even GAAP gives a company scope to tell some pretty tall tales.

Nothing. I don't think we're revisiting 1388, but I don't have any feel at all. If you follow the McClellan Oscillator, the S&P has been trying to bottom for the past week or so.

I'm just saying that then market in a disconnect. Anindo makes the interesting notion that it a mirror of early 2000. Disconnects can take on lives of their own. There's a crisis of confidence, but it's falling into a sea of Fed liquidity.

I haven't sold onto this.
