A very simple solution to a much publicized issue: noise. Connect one end to the power supply, and the other end to your fan: you can now adjust fan speed from 4900 rpm down to 3900 rpm, thus reducing fan noise from 48.5 dBA to 39 dBA. The body of the rheostat can easily be mounted to the back of the case.
