I agree with mindmeld on this. The used equipment on the market will have a minimal effect on Cisco's market. The people who are buying on the secondary market are people who would not have bought Cisco's gear anyway. If my recollection is correct, Cisco will not provide *any* service or support for equipment purchased on the secondary market. Outside of the obsolescence issue that was brought up earlier, most businesses who are trying to run a reliable network would want equipment that can be serviced and upgraded in their network.

IMO, the used CSCO equipment will be more of a competitive concern for the lower priced players and not CSCO itself.
