I could be mistaken, but I don't think anti Semitism plays a major role in this, at least in comparison to practical issues like business interests with the Muslim world. Maybe it didn't to begin with, but I think it does now. Press coverage like what you've been reading has an effect when repeated day after day. French synagogues are being fire-bombed with some regularity now. Brussels is really out to lunch a times, like putting Ariel Sharon on the same level as a war criminal like Milosivic. Who are they kidding? What really got me was the utter hypocrisy of not even indicting the late unlamented Elie Hobeicka. Everyone agrees his troops committed the massacre (it was not the first nor the last in the very dirty Lebanese Civil War), but only the Israeli General is a 'war criminal'.
