This lad says Elan owns 18%. Message 16818868 I get a bit over 20% based on the 13D cited in the last post and LGND's share count from its last 10-Q. But I thought they'd converted some more bonds since that 13D, that Elan is maybe a bit behind in their filings. Will check once asked. Cheers, Tuck

The last 13D shown for Ligand has Elan owning a bit more than 12 million shares, but that was 9/2000. The last def 14A says about 13.4 million. Looks like they own about a fifth of Ligand or better?? This the kind of stuff you were looking for? Sure! Thanks! Rick, this is a huge research project; Elan has so many stakes in so many companies. I wouldn't touch it because I knew I'd have no chance of comprehending it in time. Is it going someplace? :-) Just sort of hoped that everyone would do some research and pitch in. Thanks for doing some lifting! Does anyone know??.... has any post, here at SI or elsewhere, begun to list the partnerships?
