Microtune sales grow 6.7% from prior quarter

PLANO, Tex.--Microtune Inc. today reported a 6.7% sequential increase in revenues to $16.0 million in the fourth quarter of 2001 compared to $15.0 million in Q3. The supplier of radio-frequency ICs said its sales declined 27% from $21.9 million in Q4 of 2000.

Microtune's net loss for the fourth quarter totaled $5.3 million, including $3 million in restructuring charges primarily related to the consolidation of the company's two manufacturing plants in the Philippines.
