"consciousness which creates what we commonly call "objective reality"

Not so from my vantage point.

"Objective reality" (or that which is experienced by the common-garden egoic being) is a RESULT of the self-contraction arising IN Consciousness.

I am sure you have heard the phrase "you create your own
reality".

The "creators" of objective reality are you, me, everybody.
The "programs" are operating in the background, always.
Nobody can even FIND the source-code, let alone understand it, if it were found. There is no documentation.

But hey, it's fun to talk about it, right? Huge segments of
religion do. In my Path, they are called "Talking Schools".

Namaste!

Jim

"They would all vanish if it were not for consciousness?"

They would not even EXIST.

There would be no DNA "map" for each of them. There would
be no "juice" to live them.

There would be no sea.

"You" would not be around to not-notice them.

Namaste!

Jim

One of the reasons the movie The Matrix was so popular is that people appreciate at an intuitive level that things aren't always what they seem to be. Quantum physics has documented some very strange phenomena over the past century. It is when one seriously begins to look at the implications of these data that preconceptions about "objective reality" begin to dissolve.

If you wish to discuss this subject seriously I'm sure it would be very on-topic for this thread. If you simply wish to ignore it and go about your life that's fine too.
