A new edition of the Howard J Ruff book "How to survive in the coming hard times" but without the fallout shelters?
(am not sure thats the exact title)
Did not have time for a thorough read, but will disagree strongly with the diversification aspects. It would be better
to just dump everything and invest in land than to kill the gains of a major holding by diluting the winners with losers.
The book seems more useful for those with significant assets to protect, rather than those who are seeking gains
Also I dont remember any bull market in the 60's and 70's it seemed pretty flat to me
Sig (wondering when options were first invented. I know from Jules Verne book The Golden Meteor, that
one could sell short in the 1800's, but could you short tulips and of course one could)
" I'll bet you that $!0,000 tulip wont be worth a nickle next week"
" You're on - how much you wanna bet"
" Dahhhhhhhhh, $500 ?"
" OK, lets put it in writing"
and thus was invested the first option

Wow. Sounds very possible.
What does everyone think of this scenario and suggested portfolio?
