I do agree..
our company are using used csco switches
(6months-12months old) that sold by telecom companies for
several reasons:
1.they are good values.( both service contacts and equipments)
2.no lead time
3.there is no killer applications requires killer switches.

At the Goldman Sachs Technology conference, Scott McNealy said that the Enron bankruptcy dumped more used SUNW equipment into the gray mkt; says there are probably 15-20 more bankruptcies on the way that will add even more used equipment to the gray mkt (probably a bit of hyperbole there). The bright side is that the shelf life of old servers is rapidly deteriorating.
