When looking at APRU historically in Korea. I can't really attribute the rise to 1xRTT. APRU from data has increased steadily since the introduction of IS-95B. It continues to gradually increase and that is as it should be. I think the increase is probably spread across IS-95B and 1xRTT.

I think that this would be the key area of my disagreement.

I'll have to do some digging but there were presentations given by SKT and KTF (in Oct./Nov.) that indicated data ARPU's were running at least twice as high for 1x as for IS-95A/B. The very early indications from data ARPU on color handsets had them running twice the normal 1x rate.

SK Telecom is releasing earnings sometime tomorrow....I'll try and have some hard data then.

Replacement rates have always been higher than the norm particularly when subsidies were in place, but even when they were not.

Replacement rates in Korea were indicated to have been around 45% (with 48% indicated for this year). This is not that much higher than what you see in the US (40%?)....not sure about Europe.
