congress knows the truth already. they were the ones, along with each administration, that scuttled reform of financial disclosure and accounting regulations. the new word for "pro forma" or "operating" earnings is "ongoing" earnings biz.yahoo.com

I've worked around Anderson I.T. consulting projects and here's the modus operandi: Overbid the project using name cache, fly in 10 too many consultants (only one of which is experienced, the rest fresh college preppy grads), have them all stay at the best hotels and book the flights with one day advance (Thursdays are fly home days), they'll take over a couple of conference rooms for 6 months and produce a 1000 page document nobody understands. Then they'll charge you 3 million bucks.
