all kinds of chicanery going on out there. if you're a big bank you can get away with a lot of it because you're too big to fail. you can play all kinds of accounting and derivative shenanigans and get away with it because greenie and his not so teenie friends will come and bail you out ala ltcm. perhaps the jig is up. just maybe banks aren't going to be able to play with the books so easily going forward and valuations will reflect this. i have been wondering what it would take to get stock price valuations to come back to reality and i think we may have the answer...
