As you might imagine we have many long drawn out discussions. Me, with my thick skull, and he with his propensity to make a short story long.....

Uhh, Doug, I've found to my delight that when WS gets wound up, the short story has always turned out to be the wrong story... <g> FDR, eh? I didn't know that. Didn't the religious police come around to remove his icons?

Enron liability may depend on memo...

Regards,

Scott

btw, Mr. Lay and The Enron Board may have violated certain key fiduciary responsibilities...It's also becoming apparent that Mr. Lay may possibly have commited fraud as well as insider trading...it depends on whether he took action to conceal things or gain benefits when he had material insider information. I will not judge him today. Yet, things don't look good for Mr. Lay. He CAN NOT blame everything on his insider auditors or on Andersen. They will be held accountable too. We've only seen the tip of the iceberg so far....stay tuned.
