So no one won the 136 million bucks in the California Super Lotto last night. Well if I win on the Saturday drawing I'll be able to afford this kind of service....

You got it right David, I'm checking with a local ISP turbo.redshift.com about a 256kbps satellite connection for $49 per mo. with a $499 equipment up-front fee. It appears I may fit into the boundary of the service area they describe. I haven't done much as far as comparing service, however that is the lowest speed and price this ISP offers for satellite service. One question I'll be asking is...if the same equipment will allow me to upgrade to faster connect speeds. It seems to me an increase from less than 56k to 256k would be an improvement worth the price.

WHOA!! Just talked to someone there who KNOWS what he's talking about and this isn't satellite, it's 2.4 ghz junk and won't work unless you are parked right next to it.

AHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEE GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
