Are you really so dumb? Since jla was offering an opinion of your posts, in explanation of his motives for banning you, my characterization is on the mark. You say that you ought to be able to respond. To what? All that would have ensued was an infinite argument, never to be resolved, over whether his opinions about you were correct. It is understood that you would dispute the characterization, and there was no way of objectively settling the matter. Thus, there was no reason to allow you to respond........

"Now it's time for...Jewel's thousand" Oh good...I guess I am back in. Well, I was invited to that thread. I peaked in and struggled to find the humor in its definition but could not. So, I saw three choices. (1)Argue over the merits of the thread (not a given, so that would be intrusive). (2)Throw in my contribution (I found that idea distasteful). (3)Leave the thread for those that found some value in it. I chose door number three (exit stage left).

Since arguing was not the purlieu of the thread it seems acceptable that you would be moderated off for not only arguing but for pressing an argument. It also seems understandable that the participants would express relief when the arguing was stopped. It also seems fair that you would take those who dissed you to task on another thread such as this one. Perhaps you could direct your disdain to the specific individuals who made comments and to the comments that you found bothersome.
