Not far from here is a children's home where in the 1950s and 1960s unwed mother's stayed, gave birth, and the children were put up for adoption. The local church made a lot of money selling these babies (they of course, only charged medical and processing fees of thousands of dollars, not an official "sale"). I believe they would like to return to that business.
