The percentage of guns used to rob banks, and the percentage of gun owners who do rob banks are both extremely small. Hence the "almost no gun owners view their guns as something to be used to rob a bank."

You're just being silly or stupid or both.

Criminals, generally, at the time of committing a crime are already committing a crime by possessing a gun. Hence it's not their legally obtained weapon. They should be ashamed of themselves for breaking the law.
