Just finished listening to my all-time favorite stock market commentator on the local biz radio station.....he concluded his show with a statement that might bear attention. "We're in much better shape now than we were in 1982 and 1992."

I remember the early '90s very well and watched as an involved party (real estate) in all the destruction that was wreaked on so many people by rampant speculation in all forms of real estate, banking, etc. etc. There hasn't been a whole lot of foolish speculation leading up to this recession or the last year or so of stock market trading.... speculation and "tulip fever" will kill you....what has happened lately is not fatal. This is my humble opinion, and apparently that of at least one other person who actually gets paid for being right in his opinions.
