The social security program is one of the biggest rip offs ever hoisted upon the public from an investment standpoint. ...Anybody that has worked and made contributions for 40 years should sit down and see what that money (15.3% of your wages) would have compounded out to in a defined benefit account....You could have collected 3 or 4 times more a month just off interest from your "lump sum" accumulated over the years....then consider that there is nothing left over to pass down to your heirs....then it is clear that it is a wealth destruction vehicle and has welfare aspects to it.....It has been basically a cash cow for your favorite politicians to loot.....
