"what can the democrats hope to accomplish with Cheney? I doubt any evidence would or even could be that damning in this case." If evidence shows that Cheney and/or Bush are somehow involved with the Enron scandal they will take a big hit in the polls now and in November. The Enron deal is potentially bigger that the impeachment because Clinton's crime was lying about his sex life which the public largely understood and therefore supported him in his poll numbers. You may recall his numbers actually rose during that period to the mid-70's. That would not have happened with a financial scandal of this magnitude...
