Caught a bit of the speech on the news tonight. Certainly didn't hold back on the rhetoric. Bush in my opinion, has a healthy dose of small man syndrome. I don't see him caving in because some minister in a province he likely couldn't find on a map, gives an emotional speech. Unfortunately for those of us in the industry the pain isn't going to go away soon. If the battle goes all the way to some world court setting, we will win. But what will be left, a bunch of debtridden companies, who have won the battle, but lost the war. Of course they want a full auction of all resources, that, after the NY traders knock the crap out of the loon, allowing them to purchase anything and everything with the advantage given by the worlds strongest currency. We need to tariff the raw materials, raw logs and chips. Then explore seriously putting a punishing export tax on electricity and NG.
