LEAPS answer

VYLAF is a TYC Jan 2003 call at 30. VZBAF is a BVSN Jan 2003 call at 30.

VYLAF closed today at 5.30, down 2.60. Volume was 1,102 contracts, open interest is 3,214 contracts. The closing bid was 5.40 and the closing ask was 5.70. The customary size of the market seems to be around 75 contracts.

Other LEAPS you may want to check are:
VYLAE Jan 2003 25 call…closing ask 7.30
VYLAG Jan 2003 35 call…closing ask 4.20
LPAAE Jan 2004 25 call…closing ask 8.70

On the sell side you may want to investigate selling the LPAMD (Jan 2004 20 put, closing bid 6.50). To sell a put you must have margin equal to the stock price minus the proceeds received from selling the put. In this instance, the stock is 23 and the proceeds are 6.50, so you need margin of 16.50 per share, or $1650 per contract. You win on this trade as long as TYC maintains 13.50 or better.

Good Luck
