I suspect that Adi Da will have about as much impact as Jesus in determining the realities of this new universe

Well, I can understand your question about how much impact Adi Da will have in this environment. But I can tell you a few things that might interest you.

One of the things that devotees do is meditate. Part of the meditation process is a picture of Adi Da, in the room, when we are sitting by ourselves. However, we also sit in meditation with him in person, and those occasions are very powerful and profound. People are tangibly changed each time such personal sittings occur.

About 6 years ago Adi Da started to talk about the impact the Internet would have, and suggested that we develop the capability to video him in such personal sittings and broadcast it to the world-wide community. Of course the bandwidth was not there for that then, or even now, so instead we broadcast what is, essentially, a still picture,
(which changes every 20 seconds or so) and real audio.
The quality is pretty good, since he is essentially sitting motionlessly anyway, for the most part.

When we started doing this, Adi Da was very curious to know what was the experience of the people in Australia, for example, versus those who were in the room with him, live.
The answer was that there was NO perceptible difference.
The people in remote locations experienced the occasion as if they had been in the same room with the Guru. So we essentially have the capability of having many thousands of persons "in the room" with their Guru. This capability we use regularly.

Also, over almost 30 years Adi Da has given tens of thousands of hours of talks on virtually every subject imaginable. Almost all the talks have been captured on video. When the bandwidth is there, we will have video-on-demand, worldwide, for interested people.

Many years ago, Adi Da wrote a book called "The Mummery"
(which is about this life as a theatrical parade). This has been developed into a 12 hour theatrical event which is broadcast live over the Internet to devotees. The in-room event, however, is a very different affair which involves three large screens, live actors, original music, musicians, dancers, and so on. The remote experience in this case is a very much scaled down affair, presently. BUT, several thousand people can participate in the one event, at the same time.

There are many other things I could tell you along this line, but suffice it to say, Adi Da understands the POTENTIAL of the Internet, and wants to use it.

"Adi Da says buy Nike"
No, I don't think you will be hearing that!

Namaste!
