Well, they got their wish - but didn't. After the raise, the checkoff became even more unpopular. Frankly, the checkoff is such an embarrassment to the socialists that they should really want to eliminate it - it's a yearly reminder of how little - and declining - support their scheme to use taxpayer dollars to fund their candidates has.
