You give him too much credit. He is already under fire. The problem is that partisanship has gone too far. As much as the Dems say they welcome non-partisan behavior, it's funny how they have been the first to walk from every non-partisan overture, with claims of overwhelming partisanship. When you review the record, the partisanship is clearly on their part (in recent memory).
I didn't mention Bloomberg because he is an interesting case. I happen to be a fan of his not because he is Republican, but because I have friends who work(ed) for him. Apparently, he is about as upfront and honest as they can imagine. A major prick, but upfront. I also had friends who worked for my current Senator. Not just a prick, but a lying sack of sh-t who screwed everyone he had a chance to screw. And he claims to want to help people? You know, when he was CEO he had a chance to help alot of people and chose not to. He busted unions and denied benefits to the very people he now says he wants to help.
My point being that if you want honesty, even if you DON'T like their views, you're more likely to get it from the Republicans. At least they'll tell you they want to steal your money while they are doing it. Dems will steal your money and tell you it's good for you.
That's politics and it's why I am basically non-partisan with a mild lean to the right. It's also why, upon meeting McGreevey during the NJ campaign for governer, I turned down his request to shake hands. I don't like to touch sh-t with my bare hands.

Jerome,
I think we ought to hire the Northern Alliance for future military engagements. I like their attitude. <G>
