The non-accountant can also check S&P sheets, as they also have lines for cash flow and capital expenditure. Or they can also review posts on this thread which describe how to do this at home, even if underage.

As a 51 year old iron worker who has enough assets to retire now, as a result of my own investment decisions, I really do appreciate the tone of your response. Yes, I do understand their capital expenditures, and was aware of them. I was afraid I had missed something in my early morning fog.

My apologies for taking up space on the board. No wonder so few people post.

I'm confused don't you mean to check " Net cash used in investing activities " from the cash flow statements rather than capital expenditures?
