Interesting that gold is generating some interest. Lots of it on the Fidelity sector thread, and on one of the Bob Brinker threads. Key time periods include end of Feb,2002, when you can only use Euro's to buy stuff in Europe: meaning that maybe we are looking at a peak in the US dollar in that time frame, and consequenly a likely higher gold price.

Your point about Jude Wanniski's influence is interesting, and could have some bearing on the current gold price move.

Also, April 1, 2002, when Japan no longer insures individual accounts to the same degree as in the past. Maybe we will see a peak in the current gold/gold stock move in this time frame, with another long period of basing, correcting, etc. This might provide another entry point for those interested in establishing a position, or adding to existing ones in this sector.
