He has put himself above politics. Daschle calls him all kinds of names and Bush hugs him. People know what's going on. The only thing that will help the Dems is a bad economy. And no matter how hard they try to damage it we won't be deterred from prospering.

The first Bush's history certainly shows Bush2 is beatable.

Bush will be unbeatable...

Don't be naive. We all thought Bush 1 was unbeatable. But when Carville & Begala start telling their lies, one after the other, to a gullible American public, anything can happen.

The simple truth is that the Republicans are far too honest and above-board to compete effectively against the Democrats, who will, as we found out in 2000, lie, cheat and STEAL elections.

As the current Enron scandal has made clear, the Democrats are frequently successful in taking a problem of their own (the ONLY officials who apparently did ANYTHING inappropriate were former CLINTON administration officials) and turning it against their opponents. In spite of an absolute lack of supporting evidence, America believes Bush provided favorable treatment for Enron, and believes there is some connection between the energy policy consultations and Enron's collapse (where there is absolutely no connection).

Another perfect example is Lieberman's assertion that Bush should act to shut down a couple of anti-Daschle campaign ads, while HE would not even speak out against the racist NAACP ads run in 2000 against Bush. Total hypocrite.

Don't underestimate the trashy behavior of Democrats seeking elected office.
